I created Round Tower Consulting after working for more than 25 years for national service, nonprofit, and higher education organizations as a professional grant writer, fundraiser, program coordinator, and AmeriCorps member.
Iām excited to offer grant development, writing, meeting facilitation, and other services. I have skills in listening and facilitating diverse groups, formulating plans and proposals, negotiating budgets and outcomes, and supporting strategic decision making.
I chose the name of my business because round towers are ancient, safe, and strong structures. There is one located in Kildare, Ireland, where one branch of my family lived before immigrating to the United States. Through my consulting, I aim to bring security, stability, and prudent decision making to nonprofit organizations, government offices and agencies, and small businesses.
Over the years, I have raised millions of dollars to support educational access and success, the creation of collaborations and partnerships, and to build and renovate spaces for learning. I have experience and success in seeking and securing funding from federal, state, private, and corporate sources.
I am able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, as well as work with diverse groups of people at all levels - executive leaders, administrators, program directors and staff, accountants and budget managers - and from multiple sectors, including PreK-12 and higher education, community-based organizations, local, state and federal government agencies, and businesses.
My family lives in Western Massachusetts because of its variety of people and communities, closeness to our hometowns on Long Island and New Jersey, and mix of farmland, wildland, college towns, industrial cities and towns, delicious local cuisine, and talented artists, businesses, and nonprofits. When I am not consulting, I spend time with my family and friends, hike and cross-country ski, travel near and far, learn how to use all of my farm share, and catch up on the pile of science fiction/fantasy literature books and streaming shows on my watch list.
